Happy Birthday

It was my very first birthday!

Yes, I’m one year old!

The day was awesome. I got treated like a queen, being fed treats of all kinds. Usually, I only get an apple or banana slice or two. But I got carrots, vegetables, apples, banana slices, and my favorite leaves from her hooman’s yard. Yes, I’m a food addict. I guess becoming one year old is great and calls for a celebration in my housefolks’ world.

But I don’t get it. Why would anyone want to celebrate becoming a year older than before? Doesn’t it just mean celebrating that you’re one step closer to death?

Anyway, I had the time of my life. Sadly, the day passed just a fast as roller coasters cooning around Chino Hills. Like really, really fast.

At the end of this glorious day, I had curled up in my little bed and dosed off soon before the lights shut down. I was ready to move on… as the 1-year-old me.
